Eric is proud to be a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), a designation awarded to only a small percentage of elder law attorneys. To achieve this award, one must be favorably evaluated by his peers, pass a rigorous exam, and rise to a level of sophistication and experience in elder law to be recognized by the board of the National Elder Law Foundation.
Eric is co-chair of the Elder Law Section of the Essex County Bar Association, a member of Elder Counsel, the NJ State Bar Association, the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey, the Healthcare Association of New Jersey, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, the National Elder Law Foundation and the Institute of Gerontology Advisory Board. In order to understand the challenges of those living with a cognitive impairment, Eric is also licensed as a Certified Dementia Practitioner.
In 2020 and 2021, Eric was named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers List.

Fifteen Mandelbaum Barrett PC Attorneys Named to the 2020 Super Lawyers List and Two to Rising Stars

Mandelbaum Barrett PC is pleased to announce that fifteen of our attorneys have been selected by their peers as New Jersey Super Lawyers* for 2020. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state of New Jersey are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. In addition, the Firm is excited to announce that two of our attorneys were named to the Rising Stars list for 2020, which recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys age 40 or under or who are in practice for 10 years or less.
