January 11, 2017 — “Team Mandelbaum,” the charitable events arm of Mandelbaum Barrett PC, raised nearly $8000 in 2016 for local charities.  To raise the money, the Firm participated in “Denim Days” one Friday a month whereby all attorneys and staff can donate a minimum of $5 and wear jeans to work for the day. The money collected is then given to a different charity each month.  Donations in 2016 went to such worthy organizations as St. Jude’s, For Scout Foundation, Caldwell Food Bank, One Step Closer Animal Rescue, Autism New Jersey and others.  In addition, many of the Firm’s employees participated in a fundraising bike ride for Go the Distance for Autism, which benefits Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy, Institute for Educational Achievement and REED Academy, five leading programs on the forefront of autism care and services. Team Mandelbaum also coordinated participation in a 5K to benefit the Park Avenue Foundation and the Morristown Corporate Challenge.  In addition to monetary fundraising, the Firm organized two food drives last year for the Caldwell/West Caldwell Food Pantry and the St. John’s Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen in Newark as well as a toy drive benefiting the Jersey Battered Women’s Service and Toys for Tots.  Team Mandelbaum is made up of attorneys and staff of the Firm and meets bi-monthly to organize charitable activities within the Firm.
