UnitedHealthcare has been hit with a class action lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida over allegations that it has failed to cover COVID-19 testing and reimburse plaintiff labs for more than 34,000 tests. The case, brought by Mandelbaum Barrett on behalf of labs performing COVID-19 tests and insured patients, claims that the healthcare company is evading its obligations to cover such testing. Counsel for the defendants have not yet appeared in the case, which is numbered 6:22-cv-02408 and titled Aventus Health, LLC et al v. UnitedHealthcare, Inc. et al.
