Jared Shababb is Of Counsel and Chair of Mandelbaum Barrett PC’s Entertainment Law Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the music business, representing major and independent performing artists, Grammy Award winning producers and mixers, songwriters, managers, industry executives, independent record labels, and publishers. Jared also represents film and video production companies, modeling agencies, and influencers.
While completing his Juris Doctorate at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law (Pace Law School), Jared worked in the legal and business affairs department at Universal Music Group (Republic, Def Jam, and Island), in legal & government affairs at the New Jersey Devils, at Steve Gordon Entertainment Law, and in the general counsel’s office at Sony Corporation of America.
Jared has been in the entertainment business his entire life, before law school Jared acted in films, musical theater, performed stand-up comedy, and even played in local bands.
Prior to starting his own firm, Jared was ‘Of Counsel’ at David M. Ehrlich & Associates, P.C. During Jared’s “free time” he is an active chess player, Playstation gamer, and history buff. Jared is happily married to his best friend, Tiffany.
