14 Mandelbaum Barrett PC attorneys named to the 2022 Super Lawyers List as well as 4 named to Rising Stars list

Mandelbaum Barrett PC is pleased to announce that fourteen of our attorneys have been selected by their peers as New Jersey Super Lawyers* for 2022. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state of New Jersey are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. In addition, the Firm is excited to announce that four of our attorneys were named to the Rising Stars list for 2022, which recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys age 40 or under or who are in practice for 10 years or less. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Mandelbaum Barrett PC Partners Steven Adler and Brian Block have co-authored an article in the March 9, 2022 issue of the New Jersey Law Journal titled "How Not to Handle the Trial of an Employment Case"– A hypothetical case provides a crash course on employment litigation, including the after-acquired evidence doctrine, the cat's paw doctrine, stray remarks and the same actor inference.

"Common in veterinary practice transactions, restrictive covenants are designed to prevent the seller from soliciting clients and competing with the buyer after the sale. Through such restrictions, buyers aim to protect themselves and ensure that the acquired business does not lose value due to the seller's re-entering the market. To fulfill those objectives, a purchase agreement's restrictive covenants should be negotiated, clearly stated, endure for a reasonable period (for example, two to five years) and be practical in geographic scope."

Full-service law firm Mandelbaum Barrett PC as announced that three new partners will join the firm's Real Estate practice and plans the opening of a new office in Bergen County. Bart G. Mongelli, Anthony J. Arnone, and Roberto S. Migliorelli, all former partners at DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP, will join the firm's growing real estate practice and be based in its new Lyndhurst, NJ, office.
